Are you ready to visit one of the most fascinating Italian cities, worldwide known as the city of Romeo and Juliet? Next Sunday we are heading to Verona!
The city of Verona it’s one of the main touristic destinations in northern Italy because of its artistic heritage and several annual fairs and shows as well as the opera season in the Arena, an ancient Roman amphitheater.
Two of William Shakespeare's plays are set in Verona: Romeo and Juliet and The Two Gentlemen of Verona. It is unknown if Shakespeare ever visited Verona or Italy, but his plays have lured many visitors to Verona and surrounding cities. In November 2000 the city was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO because of its urban structure and architecture.
Here is the general program:
- Meeting Point at 8.oo am at Bocconi (Leoni Building, via Sarfatti 25)
- Arrival at Verona at 11.00 am
- Free time & lunch
- Guided city tour
- Snack time
- Departure time around 6.30 pm
- Arrival at Bocconi at around 8.30 pm
